Welcome to the new bar year! My name is Amie Sivon, and I practice with Ragsdale Liggett in Raleigh. I am honored to serve as the Chair of the Appellate Practice Section this year. Our section is coming off an exciting year as we marked our 10th anniversary as a section, and many of us traveled to Washington, D.C., and were admitted to the United States Supreme Court in May!

We have many things in store for you this bar year including an event honoring Justice Sandra Day O’Connor with some former clerks that will take place on August 29 at the Bar Center (more information coming soon). Also, go ahead and mark your calendars for our annual CLE to be held Friday, May 2, at the Bar Center with a social to be held the night before. We hope to have several other virtual and in-person programs and networking offerings for our section this year. If you have any suggestions, please reach out to me!
