New Associates Join The Law Offices of F. Bryan Brice, Jr.

The Law Offices of F. Bryan Brice, Jr. announced that Andrea Bonvecchio and Anne Harvey have joined the firm as associate attorneys.

Andrea Bonvecchio obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law with a concentration in Environmental and Land Use Law. During law school, she served as an environmental moot court team competitor and coach. Bonvecchio has prior experience as a conservation and land use intern for Conservation Florida and as a law clerk for Earthjustice.

Anne Harvey holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree from Florida State University, where she served as a teaching fellow and taught a course in environmental policy. Harvey received a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown Law. She has worked as staff attorney and acting conservation director for Save the Manatee Club and as an associate attorney with Earthjustice.

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd Announces Shareholder

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd announced that Todd Hess has joined the firm’s intellectual property team as a shareholder. An intellectual property attorney, Hess has more than a decade of experience in business and industrial intellectual property. Before Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, Hess worked for a boutique intellectual property firm and as in-house counsel for two major manufacturers. Hess is also a certified mediator in the Superior Courts of North Carolina, as well as in Eastern, Middle and Western districts of North Carolina. Hess holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, a master’s degree from Ohio State University, and a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University.

New Associate Joins McMillion Law

McMillion Law has announced that McKenna Ronan has joined the firm. Her practice will focus on criminal defense and administrative law. Ronan received a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Mercy College and a Juris Doctorate from Campbell Law School. Before she joined the firm, Ronan interned with Judge Robert N. Hunter Jr. of the North Carolina Court of Appeals and with the Wake County District Attorney’s Office.

 

Moore & Van Allen PLLC Announces New Counsel

Edward Ivey has joined Moore & Van Allen PLLC as counsel, where he will practice with the Financial Services team. Ivey focuses on transactional and regulatory issues associated with derivatives, complex finance, structured products and LIBOR transition issues. Ivey practiced law at Linklaters LLP in New York. He also has experience working on the Latin America Structure Products Desk at Morgan Stanley and in the Swap Dealer Compliance area at Wells Fargo. Ivey holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina and a Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP Elects Partner

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP announced that Ariel Harris Roberson has been elected as partner. She has practiced with the firm since 2017. Roberson focuses on business litigation, including complex commercial disputes, employment law, sports law and financial services matters. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in biology and from North Carolina Central University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude.

 

New Associate Attorney Joins Ward Black Law

Ward Black Law announced that Nichad Davis has joined the firm. Davis, a native of Greensboro, will focus on personal injury and workers’ compensation claims. Before attending Campbell Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate, he participated in Teach for America and taught social studies to seventh graders in Duplin County, North Carolina. Davis was a two-time winner of the David Teddy Innovative Leadership Award. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

 

Two Attorneys Join Williams Mullen

Williams Mullen announced that two attorneys have joined the firm, Carmelle Alipio and Chris Trusk.

Carmelle Alipio represents clients in civil and commercial litigation matters and regulatory proceedings. Before she joined Williams Mullen, Alipio practiced in general civil litigation and matters of coverage, including construction, trucking and motor vehicle accidents, unfair business practices and medical malpractice cases. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics from Fordham University and a Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law. There, Alipio was inducted into the Order of Barristers and was the first woman and woman of color to be elected as the Director in Chief of the Emory Law School Supreme Court Advocacy Program.

Chris Trusk has joined the firm’s Raleigh office. He will practice in the Finance & Real Estate Section. Trusk represents lenders in the negotiation and documentation of commercial loans, and investors, businesses and developers in the financing, acquisition, sale and development of commercial property. Trusk received a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University, where he double majored in history and philosophy, and a Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
