Law Firm Carolinas announces the following changes: Harmony Taylor, who is in the Charlotte office and practices community association (HOA and condo) law and civil litigation, has been named a Shareholder.

 

 

 

 

Three attorneys have been named Partners: Joe Thompson, who practices residential and commercial real estate, and David Wilson, who practices North and South Carolina community association law, both from the Charlotte office; and Jon Raymer, who practices commercial and residential real estate, from the Greensboro office.

There have also been several recent additions to the firm: Nancy Guyton and Hunt Harris have joined the Wilmington office. Nancy Guyton is a Board-Certified Specialist in Residential and Commercial Real Property law and practices residential and commercial real estate as well as community association law. Hunt Harris practices residential real estate, community association law and civil litigation. Will Rankin has joined the Raleigh office and practices residential and commercial real estate and community association law.

Andrew Brower and Jonathon Woodruff have joined the Greensboro office. Jonathon Woodruff practices community association law and HOA/condo assessment collections. Andrew Brower heads the firm’s Estate Planning & Administration Department (wills, trusts, probate and guardianships).

In addition to the new South Carolina office, two North Carolina offices have relocated to newer, larger spaces. The Wilmington office has moved to 219 Racine Drive and the Raleigh office has moved to 3000 Highwoods Boulevard.

Fox Rothschild Welcomes New Partner, Of Counsel

Benjamin Snowden has joined the Raleigh office of the Fox Rothschild as a partner, and he will work in the Energy & Natural Resources Practice. Snowden represents companies involved in renewable energy by helping them with regulatory approvals, agreements, interconnection issues and more. He advises clients in the energy and manufacturing sectors and also represents clients in environmental litigation in both federal and state courts. Snowden received a J.D., cum laude, from New York University School of Law and a B.A., cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.

David T. Drooz will practice of counsel in Fox Rothschild’s Raleigh office. He has also joined the Energy & Natural Resources Practice. Drooz served as Chief Counsel at the Public Staff of the North Carolina Utilities Commission. He has years of experience in electric, water/wastewater and other utility regulatory matters. At North Carolina State University, Drooz was in-house counsel, where he also served as Interim Vice Chancellor & General Counsel. Drooz obtained a J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a B.A. from Haverford College.

Ashley Michael of Wilmington has joined Ashley-Nicole Russell of Beaufort to establish Michael & Russell PLLC. Michael will operate out of the firm’s Wilmington office located at 5008 Oleander Drive and will handle adoption and collaborative family law cases. Russell, who maintains offices in Beaufort, Greenville and Raleigh, will continue her practice of collaborative family law.

Michael and Russell are founding board members of the N.C. Collaborative Attorney Network, a statewide trade association for collaborative divorce. Michael also serves on the board of directors for Coastal Collaborative Colleagues and Russell serves on the board of the National Parents Organization.

Michael is a Board-Certified Specialist in Family Law by the N.C. State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and a certified mediator in family financial matters with the N.C. Dispute Resolution Commission. She previously practiced with Craige & Fox PLLC in Wilmington.

Russell also owns and manages AN|R Law: A Negotiated Resolution, and is a co-owner of McLawhorn & Russell PLLC in Raleigh. She is a professional speaker and writes frequently on the subjects of divorce and collaborative family law.

Rachel H. Boyd has joined Young Moore as an associate. She will focus on commercial litigation, such as complex business disputes, employment, products liability and premises liability. She was law clerk for the Honorable Joseph N. Callaway at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Boyd earned a J.D., cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she was a an editor for the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law. She holds a B.S. in political science, magna cum laude, from East Tennessee State University.
