Mark Your Calendars for This Year’s Giving Tuesday

The Young Lawyers Division (YLD) and the North Carolina Bar Foundation (NCBF) are teaming up for the second year in a row to make November 29 a #GivingTuesday to remember!

For this year, the YLD is raising money to fund the NCBF’s civic education and pro bono programs. By donating on November 29, you will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win one of our many exciting prizes! Prize drawings will be held throughout the day among donors who have made their contribution to the #GivingTuesday campaign, and your opportunity to win increases as your gift amount increases.

Prizes will be drawn at random and include:

  • Ashville Renaissance Getaway | Make it a weekend getaway and escape to the North Carolina mountains to take in all the sights! Enjoy a two-night stay in downtown Ashville courtesy of Ashville Renaissance.
  • Total Wine and More Wine-Tasting Class | You and up to 19 of your closest friends and family will be able to enjoy a private wine-tasting class, courtesy of Total Wine.

  • Grandover Stay | Is a round of golf or a trip to the spa on your holiday wish list? Enjoy an overnight stay at the Grandover resort and you can check those off your holiday wish list.
  • Carolina Hurricanes Prize Pack | A storm is brewing! Enjoy a game in the loudest house in the NHL with two tickets to a Hurricanes hockey game at PNC Arena (Raleigh). This prize is complete with a parking pass. Ticket and pass generously donated by former YLD member, Nan Hannah.

Impact

Members of the YLD are deeply committed to pro bono and civic education. Your gift will make a tremendous difference in support of all NCBF pro bono and civic education programs and the staff who support NCBA Section, Division and Committee member engagement in service.

The YLD launched the Wills for Heroes program, organizes Law Week programming each May, administers the annual Legal Feeding Frenzy, coordinates programs to serve the profession, and partners with the NCBF to engage YLD volunteers in pro bono and civic education programs serving North Carolinians statewide. Each of these programs is possible thanks to generous support from individuals like you. Your year-end commitment as part of this campaign promises returns throughout the next year as your gift makes possible the 4ALL Statewide Service Day in March, statewide Wills for Heroes clinics, the YLD Disaster Legal Services efforts, Middle School Mock Trial events, NC Free Legal Answers, and more.
