The YLD and the North Carolina Bar Foundation are excited to announce the first-ever YLD Season of Giving Recurring Gift Campaign which kicks off tomorrow on #GivingTuesday (Nov. 30) and runs through noon EST on Dec. 10.

Our aim through this campaign is to increase recurring gifts to the NCBF in a way that’s financially doable for YLD members. We know that as a young lawyer, annual giving can seem financially unfeasible. Starting Nov. 30, a recurring donation as low as $5.00/month (less than your Netflix subscription!) will enter you into a raffle for exclusive prizes. Prize winners will be selected by random daily drawings from all eligible entries. We will select daily prize winners each business day from donations made Nov. 30 through Dec. 10, and then announce two grand prize winners during our quarterly YLD meeting on Friday, Dec. 10.

Prizes

Your recurring monthly gift of $5.00 or more will count toward the YLD Season of Giving Recurring Gift Campaign and enter you to win great prizes. There will be daily prize drawings among YLD members who have made their commitment to the campaign, and your opportunity to win increases as your monthly gift amount increases. Daily prizes will be drawn at random and include:

Impact

Members of the YLD are deeply committed to pro bono and public service. To double the impact of your monthly gift, a $5,000 dollar-for-dollar match has been offered by former YLD Chair, Stuart Dorsett. Help us meet our match by making your gift commitment today. Your recurring monthly gift will make a tremendous difference in support of all NCBF pro bono and public service programs and the staff who support NCBA Section, Division and Committee member engagement in service.
The YLD launched the Wills for Heroes program, organizes Law Week programming each May, administers the annual Legal Feeding Frenzy, coordinates programs to serve the profession, and partners with the NCBF to engage YLD volunteers in pro bono and public service programs serving North Carolinians statewide. Each of these programs are possible thanks to generous support from individuals. Your year-end commitment as part of this campaign promises returns deep into 2022 as your recurring monthly gift makes possible the 4ALL Statewide Service Day on March 5, Wills for Heroes clinics across the state, the YLD Disaster Legal Services efforts serving Western North Carolina, virtual and in-person Middle School Mock Trial events, and the newly-launched Housing Stability Pro Bono Project that serves low-income residents in 88 counties across North Carolina.

There has never been a better time to pledge your commitment on behalf of the YLD in support of NCBF programming. Pledge your recurring gift today and pay it forward this holiday season!
